Construction Administrator

Required to work at Head Office in Doncaster in an office environment with a busy commercial team of Surveyors/Site Managers and Design Coordinator(s). The applicant should be converse with simple filing, answering the telephone, an analytical thinker with good communication, both written and verbal. IT literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publishers and Outlook, and desirably qualified for administrative duties.

The job role will include;

General administration to cover the new Site set up's, electronic filing, sorting/printing and the distribution of information, completion of Site forms, obtaining existing services records, the initial set up of Construction Phase Plans, registration of new Site's under the Considerate Constructor's Scheme, general filing and paperwork, the sourcing/booking of accommodation, preparing for meetings, assisting in PQQ's, the creation of memo's and charity event organising.

The recording and managing of internal training for all staff; including scouring and booking the courses, chasing certification and requesting CITB recovery.

Statistic recording for labour hours, accident and the like.

Obtaining the best prices for all materials and small plant hire, which are requested by Site Teams, to be delivered to Site and the placing of relevant orders to suit.

Keeping a plant log and checking the on/off hire for all live projects.

Assistance will also be required for all other general administrative duties.

  • JCT D&B / Traditional /NEC 3 forms of contract.
  • Regional and Traditional builder background preferred.
  • Capable of running up to 2 projects at any one time covering all commercial activities.
  • Buying / Procurement Experience.
  • Valuations, Monthly Cost Reporting and Monitoring.
  • Project Values £250,000 - £3.5m or more.
  • Minimum ONC qualified HNC or beyond preferred.
  • Reporting to the Operations and Commercial Manager.
