Acoustic Refurbishment to Swimming Pool Hall
Posted on 11 April 2019
Swimming pools are notorious for reverberation, echo, and unwanted noise. What should be an environment of relaxation, leisure, and exercise instead often becomes loud and uncomfortable with poor acoustics. Fortunately, these issues can be solved with professional acoustic solutions. These solutions can be applied either at the time of construction or applied retrospectively in refurbishment works, like in this swimming pool hall refurbishment at the Norwich High School for Girls.
The Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics team successfully delivered a new acoustic ceiling installation as part of the refurbishment to the pool hall, installing our Class-A Rockfon Mono acoustic solution. This was installed to an MF grid to the entire area of the swimming pool hall ceiling to absorb unwanted noise and echoes.
The installation was a great success, creating a great deal of absorption in the refurbished swimming pool hall. Sound levels in the space have been controlled, and we ensured any unwanted ambient noise and reverberation was minimized.
The Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics team is proud of the work completed and the professional acoustic solution installed in the hall. The project was delivered on time and on budget for an effective, Class-A acoustic solution to the newly refurbished swimming pool hall at Norwich High School for Girls.
