Specialist Acoustic Plaster System, London

The Project

Pacy & Wheatley have completed the installation of a specialist acoustic plaster system in London. The project located in London’s Mayfair being carried out by main contractors Mace with the drylining contractor being Integra Contracts Ltd.
The development is a mixed-use premium project with luxury flats, office space and retail space. The building has a large reception area managing the security of the building as well as a large seating area for meeting and waiting functions.
The area is a large space with glass perimeter and hard Architectural Stone floors which would create a lot of reverberation within and greatly reduce the comfort when holding discussions.
The design of the ceiling with the feature domes and light troughs certainly catches the eye and looks amazing.

The Solution

Pacy & Wheatley quoted to install our Rockfon Mono acoustic product which offers class A absorption. Working with our client Integra Contracts Ltd, whom we have a good working relationship with, assisted in the details of how this could be achieved as per the architects requirements. Integra managed the coordination of the setting out and installation of the domes and we assisted in the abutment installation of the Mono acoustic between and around these fittings. These were sprayed with a special coloured grey render to highlight the superb design. The ceiling now controls the reverberation within the space beautifully.
