Rockfon Mono Acoustic Solution – Islington Square, London

Pacy and Wheatley are delighted to present our most recent Rockfon acoustic ceiling installation at Islington Square in London. Restoring a former 1900's mail sorting office into a range of luxurious apartments, penthouses and retail spaces, Islington Square offers the very best in city-centre living, dining and shopping. With 17,000 sq ft of quality space, including a luxury health club and a lounge cinema by Odeon, the new residents will be spoilt for choice.

Converting an old building takes a lot of planning to get "just right" and providing comfortable ambience will be a large part of the building's success. Old buildings tend to have hard walls, floors and ceilings, allowing sound waves to bounce without being correctly absorbed, causing excess echo and reverberation. In such luxury apartments and retail spaces, the acoustics need to be perfect to provide a comfortable atmosphere for both residents and customers.

Appointed by PIB Contractors, we began to install our specialist Rockfon Mono Acoustic ceiling system to the corridor areas to create Class A sound absorption. Upon completion, the ambience within the whole building was peaceful and calm, allowing visitors to relax and unwind in the beautiful space.

We're delighted to have provided a first-class installation and a high-quality acoustic solution for the wonderful Islington Square.
