Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics is pleased to have been invited by Collins to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at Gresse Street, a landmark redevelopment in the prestigious W1 district of central London. The scheme will transform more than 40,000 sq ft of premium office space, delivering high-quality, sustainable work environments in the heart of the capital.
Sustainability is at the forefront of the project, with the existing structure being carefully refurbished rather than demolished and rebuilt. More than 80% of the building's façade will be retained, significantly reducing the project's environmental impact. The development is also targeting a BREEAM Outstanding rating and aims to divert 99% of construction waste from landfill, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable construction practices.
The Solution
Following detailed discussions with Collins, Pacy & Wheatley, Acoustics has been appointed to supply and install approximately 1,300m² of beige Bowiq Bo-Spray at Gresse Street. The works are being delivered across communal areas and office spaces over seven levels, with the acoustic finish applied at a depth of 25mm.
Bowiq Bo-Spray was selected for its exceptional acoustic performance, clean aesthetic, and strong sustainability credentials. This water-based acoustic spray is manufactured from recycled cellulose and carries a negative carbon footprint. Produced from recycled paper, it diverts waste from incineration and contributes to a reduction in overall CO₂ emissions. In addition to its environmental benefits, Bo-Spray supports key sustainability certifications including LEED v4, BREEAM, and WELL.
