Project Description
Rockliffe Hall is a prestigious Grade II listed hotel that is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound transformation, with works having commenced in 2025 and scheduled for completion in the coming months. The redevelopment includes the refurbishment of luxury bedrooms and suites, the redesign of the bar and terrace areas, and the construction of a striking new pavilion, which will house an exclusive 36-cover fine dining restaurant.
The site is also home to a championship golf course and is set within stunning surroundings, making Rockliffe Hall one of the UK's premier luxury destinations. This significant investment will further enhance the hotel's exceptional facilities and reinforce its reputation as a leading hospitality venue.
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics are proud to be contributing to this landmark project, delivering a high-performance acoustic ceiling solution that complements the quality and prestige of this iconic development.
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics was appointed to supply and install a total of 228m² of the Styjl Straight Up acoustic ceiling system. The installation comprises 120m² within the hotel restaurant and a further 108m² in the orangery. To complement the interior design, the system is being installed in bespoke finishes, using RAL 9002 and 10YY 30/106.
The Styjl Straight Up system was selected for its outstanding acoustic performance and contemporary aesthetic. It provides an effective solution for controlling sound while seamlessly integrating with the character of the historic building, striking the perfect balance between modern design and traditional architecture.
As with many refurbishment projects involving Grade II listed buildings, the works present unique challenges that require careful planning and attention to detail. Despite these complexities, the project is progressing well, and our team is proud to be playing a part in the transformation of one of the UK's most prestigious luxury hotels. We look forward to seeing the completed installation and the contribution it will make to the hotel's exceptional new interior spaces.
