Project Description:
Knox & Wells invited Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics to tender for an acoustic ceiling installation in Wales at Maesteg Town Hall. The historic building, which was opened in 1981 and is 141 years old, is to undergo an £8m renovation. Once completed, the building will host numerous events ranging from comedy, dance, and music performances to weddings in the grand auditorium.
Maesteg Town Hall attracted 27,000 visitors in 2018, making it a very popular landmark in the area.
The Solution:
The Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics team supplied and installed 180m2 of Rockfon Mono Acoustic across numerous areas of the Town Hall. Rockfon Mono Acoustic is a class A sound absorber; it controls reverberation levels and white noise, creating a pleasant ambience perfect for hosting performances, events, and weddings.
The project ran smoothly from the start to the finish and was completed within the timescale provided to our client. Our specialist acoustic installation team enjoyed working closely with Knox & Wells, who showed high professionalism throughout the project. We look forward to working with them again in the future and continuing this valued relationship.
