The Project
Stocks Golf club is situated within the village of Aldbury and surrounded by natural beauty. The newly built clubhouse by Priory Gate Construction was designed to fit into this countryside location. The course is an 18 hole championship course set in a beautiful valley and is a par 73 and is over 6800 yards. The clubhouse houses a large bar area and state of the art facilities and offers superb function rooms to which the architect detected there would be some acoustic absorption required to ensure the comfort of the patrons and form the relaxing space which is required after a hard round.
The Solution
Pacy and Wheatley were commissioned by ADAM Architecture to provide our 32mm ambient acoustic plaster system to the main bar and dining room areas to control the reverberation issues and form some sound absorption. The main bar area with its old oak beams design created perfect spaces for the absorption to be placed approximately 80m2 of the product was installed to the areas with great results. The product was coloured to a pastel shade and with full liaison with Priory Gates site team the project was completed on time and on budget and the spaces now enjoy calming acoustic properties that can be enjoyed by each and every visitor, assuming they have had a good round!
