The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics were delighted to have been awarded the contract to install their acoustic plaster solution, Rockfon Mono TE, to Rolls Royce Head Offices.
R64 & 65 Buckingham Gate comprises a mixed use office, residential and retail estate on the boundaries of Victoria and St James's. The estate comprises of three component parts. The Tower, which is the HQ of Rolls Royce PLC along with 44 residential apartments, the Podium, which is a mix of offices currently the HQ of the Labour Party along with a wine bar and restaurant in the basement and retail units in Palmer Street.
Pacy & Wheatley were asked to install the Rockfon Mono TE acoustic plaster system within the main reception area of the new Rolls Royce HQ.
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley worked closely with main contractor Paragon and the dry lining contractor Integra Contractors to produce a outstanding office environment for Rolls Royce. As with many projects in central London the delivery and storage of materials was some what challenge due to the nature of the surroundings. Access was also an issue due to Rolls Royce’s offices being on the 6th floor, so therefore all goods had to be transported by lift to the correct floor. Despite all of the above Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics delivered a 1st class Rockfon Mono TE, acoustic plaster ceiling to the client.
