The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustic were pleased to have been awarded the Acoustic Plaster tender for The Council House, a Grade II listed building steeped in history in the heart of Chichester City Centre.
The assembly room has a wooden floor with four fireplaces with niches over the mantels which are individually lit. It is one of the few eighteenth century assembly rooms in the country that is still used for meetings and concerts.
The Solution
P&W were commissioned by main contractor Chiverton Construction to apply three coats of Rockfon coloured render to the existing ceiling finish, which was in fact originally installed by P&W in 2002 when the Assembly Room was first refurbished. The re-fresh of the existing ceiling had to be carried out within a tight time scale and co-ordination with other trades was paramount. Once again P&W liaised with all involved to bring the project to a successful completion.
Testimonial
“The work was carried out to a high standard, thanks again for a great job. Your boys were excellent and carried out the work to the highest standard”.
