The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics, were delighted to have won the tender for the specialist installation of their Acoustic Plaster solution, for this very prestigious Hall. The University of Kent (formerly the University of Kent at Canterbury), is a public research university based in Kent. It was founded in 1965 and is recognized as a plate glass university. It is a member of the Santander Network of European universities encouraging social and economic development.
In 2014 the university was ranked 80 in the world by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in Top 100 Universities under 50 Years.
P&W were asked by main contractor Cardy Construction to install the Rockfon ceilings within three lecture theatres to create a better atmosphere for the students.
The Solution
Working closely with main contractor Cardy Construction P&W successfully installed the three areas of Rockfon ceilings, incorporating all MF works and leasing with Cardy’s electrical contractor on site to bring the project in on time and to budget.
