The Project
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were proud to be appointed to provide class A acoustic solutions to the new annexe of the historic St Augustine’s Church, Ipswich.
St Augustine’s Church opened their new lantern room in April 2018, with over 200 people attending the service. The project was required to provide a modern annexe to the side of the church, providing level access and toilet facilities which were previously inaccessible for limited mobility patrons. It has also created a bigger space for groups to gather which were growing in size, this meant there may be reverberation issues.
The Solution
Pacy and Wheatley succeeded in the tender market to be awarded the contract and install our Rockfon Mono acoustic product, which offers class A absorption. This was perfect for the project and was installed to the perimeter soffit to aid the reverb reduction. The project was completed on time and to budget for the client.
