Acoustic Installation at Canary Wharf, London

The UK government has created a new office facility in Canary Wharf, London, as part of a huge government shake-up. Thousands of civil servants and public sector workers were set to leave Whitehall and consolidated into hub locations around Britain, in an initiative that will drive savings across the government estate, and making savings for the taxpayer. Over 5,000 civil and public servants were set to move to Canary Wharf. Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were proud to have been awarded, and successfully completed, installation of a Specialist Acoustic Plaster solution to the new offices at Canary Wharf.

Acoustics were a top priority for the offices, which would house over 5,000 civil and public servants. Improved acoustics can provide a range of benefits to offices, promoting a healthier, more comfortable working environment. We designed an acoustic solution to allow the workspace to be more acoustically comfortable.

We installed our Specialist Acoustic Plaster system to the open office and reception areas, reducing reverberation and allowing the spaces to be much more comfortable. Linear lighting had to be integrated into the installation, and various details were addressed to supply the quality required on the project.

We also installed an acoustic solution to various meeting rooms on the 2nd floor of the building, where issues with reverberation were becoming apparent. We installed the Rockfon Mono Acoustic TE to control this reverberation, and create a comfortable, professional atmosphere within each of the meeting rooms.
