Castleford Students Eat In Peace

Our specialist acoustic division excelled themselves recently with a project at Castleford Park Junior Academy, which involved the installation of a specialist acoustic spray system.
The academy is currently housed in a building dating back to 1903, and so it has required a number of refurbishments over the years.
The dining hall had poor acoustics because of the sports hall floor and high ceiling. We conducted a test, which revealed there was a 4.5-second reverberation time, which is very high. The result was an unpleasant dining atmosphere for both students and teachers.
At the time, we were already conducting refurb works for the Academy, and we were thrilled to be able to help them with this issue as well.
Our specialist acoustic division presented several solutions, and in the end, we decided to go with the placement of 37.5 mm of Bo spray. Bo spray is a cellulose acoustic spray that has outstanding reverberation absorption qualities.
The difference is astounding, meaning that lunch time is now a relaxing and re-energising experience, as it should be! The dining hall is much more comfortable, and we were happy that the project was completed on budget and on time.
