Rockfon Acoustic solution for Fairfield Halls, Croydon
Posted on 17 December 2019
Pacy & Wheatley are delighted to showcase our acoustic installation at Fairfield Halls in Croydon, London. We were approached by LE Partitions, working with Vinci Construction UK and MICA Architects, to install an acoustic plaster solution and ensure high-quality reverberation control throughout the building.
Fairfield Halls was originally built in 1962 and quickly became a hub of activity for Croydon. Hosting the likes of The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd and Stevie Wonder, the building was an iconic landmark for many years before it slowly fell into disrepair from insufficient funding. However, it has recently reopened with a complete transformation!
Absorbing reverberation is imperative for coherent performances, to ensure an acoustically healthy environment. Installing an acoustic plaster system allows viewers to enjoy live performances to the maximum, creating the perfect ambiance for the concert hall and foyer alike.
We installed a Rockfon Mono Acoustic elegant render product to create a class A absorption solution. It's completely recyclable and has 87% light reflection amongst other great qualities. It was installed throughout the Halls, to control sound and reverberation in all areas.
We are very proud to be part of the renovation of such an iconic building, and we hope it's around for many more years to come! If you'd like to read more about our Rockfon Acoustics solutions, visit our Rockfon page or call us on 01302 760843 to discuss our services in more detail.
