The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics installed their Ambient Acoustic Plaster solution to the fashionable "Bar & Kitchen" is the latest in the Benugo chain of restaurants in 2011. located close to Liverpool Street station on Bishopsgate, London the clever design encompasses part of the Bishopsgate Institute exterior. The architect, Path Design, wished for an afternoon and evening ambience of comfort and calm rather than the busy hustle and bustle of the London streets. Within the modern venue of laminated beams, highlighted and large glazed areas, minimal furnishings and hard surface finishes, a sound insulation solution to address the reverberation became a requirement.
The Solution
Path Design liaised with main contractor Betacroft who subsequently commissioned Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics to consult and install 60m2 of the 32mm Terraco Ambient Acoustic Plaster System to the ceiling area to absorb the unwanted noise. The integration of recessed light fittings and air conditioning ventilation was simply incorporated within the installation without compromise to the noise control project or to the quality of finished surfaces required, The exceptional venue, now coupled with our acoustic control system (sound insulation), maintained the atmospherics and buzz, both essential for the lively modern venue. The project was completed on time and on budget.
