Project Description
Pacy & Wheatley were invited by BPC to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at Citibank. The project is located in the heart of London’s financial district at the prestigious Canada Square in Canary Wharf, one of the most significant commercial and financial hubs in the United Kingdom.
The tower is home to Citigroup, which is investing an incredible $1.5 billion to redevelop and modernise its headquarters. This major redevelopment highlights the organisation’s long-term commitment to the UK and to maintaining London as a key global financial centre. The refurbishment aims to transform the building into a modern, sustainable workplace designed to support collaboration, employee wellbeing, and future ways of working.
The Solution
Following extensive discussions and design meetings, it was agreed that Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics would install over 1100m² of Rockfon Mono Acoustic across the project. The installation will span five different levels, covering both communal areas and office spaces.
Rockfon Mono Acoustic is a Class A sound absorber, designed to effectively control reverberation levels and reduce background noise, making it an ideal solution for this project. Once completed, the installation will significantly enhance the atmosphere of the office while complementing the modern aesthetic of the refurbishment. The result will be a calmer, more comfortable environment throughout the building, free from unwanted echo and noise. In addition to its acoustic performance, the product was also selected for its clean, contemporary appearance. Its seamless and sleek finish ensures the building’s visual appeal is maintained while delivering high-performance acoustic benefits.
Work is currently underway on site and progressing well, thanks to the strong collaboration between our team and the BPC site team. We look forward to seeing the finished result.
