Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were invited by Parkeray to tender for the refurbishment of the specialist acoustic ceilings in the Hiscox offices & canteen of levels 9 & 10, at Twentytwo, Bishopsgate, in central London. The 62-storey building, which is the second tallest building in London, contains numerous offices, a viewpoint, a gym and a restaurant.
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics sprayed a number of areas with Fade Acoustic render during the refurbishment of the Hiscox offices. The Ecophon Fade acoustic system offers class-A sound absorption and a stylish look, making it a perfect fit for the Hiscox offices, lobby & art café. The acoustic system helps reduce reverberation and noise levels, creating a peaceful ambience for the people working in the busy office space or relaxing in the canteen.
All projects come with their own unique challenge regarding logistics, including this project; specialist materials and equipment had to be delivered in precision timeslots to minimise the impact of deliveries to other occupants of the Twentytwo Bishopsgate.
