Commercial Acoustic Ceiling Installation – City of London
- Client: Integra Contracts
- Sector: Office space
- Type: Acoustic ceiling
- Procurement Method: Tender
- Location: Moorfields, Central London
Project Description
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were invited by Integra Contracts to tender for the acoustic ceiling installation in the City of London, at the 21 Moorfields building. The brand-new 550,000m2 workspace is set to become the UK headquarters for Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank are a German multinational investment bank and financial services company with a total of 65,000 employees, most of whom work outside of Germany.
The Solution
After several discussions with Integra Contracts, it was agreed that Pacy and Wheatley would install 275m2 of Rockfon Mono Acoustic in the main lobby as well as office spaces throughout the building.
Rockfon Mono Acoustic is a Class A sound absorber, expertly designed to manage reverberation levels and white noise. Its acoustic performance enhances comfort by creating a calm and welcoming environment, ideal for both visitors in the lobby and staff within the offices. Coupled with the acoustic properties of the product, it was chosen for its appearance. With its contemporary and elegant finish, it enhances the space without detracting from the overall design.
The Challenge
The project wasn’t without its challenges, as with all jobs, the site was busy with all trades having their own individual deadlines to hit. Our site team forward planned as they always do, liaised with our client and other subcontractors to ensure a smooth delivery of the project.
The Pacy & Wheatley acoustics team would like to thank our good friends at Integra Contracts for their assistance and support throughout our installation. We are already looking forward to our next project together!
