Project Description
Pacy and Wheatley were delighted to be invited by FM Construction to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at 27–31 Charlotte Street, a prominent landmark property in the heart of Fitzrovia, London. Situated within the prestigious W1 district, this high-profile corner building, originally constructed in the 1960s, is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment.
The project is scheduled for completion later in 2026 and once finished, will transform the prominent Fitzrovia site into a premium restaurant and bar destination. The redevelopment will bring a contemporary new venue to Charlotte Street, further enhancing the area's renowned hospitality and dining scene.
The Solution
After a number of discussions between Pacy & Wheatley and FM Construction, it was agreed that around 120m² of Rockfon Mono Acoustic would be installed throughout the restaurant and communal areas. The system is being fitted in both 40mm and 25mm depths, finished in RAL 080 90 10 Mushroom White.
Rockfon Mono Acoustic was chosen for its excellent acoustic performance and clean, seamless appearance. The 40mm panels provide Class A sound absorption, while the 25mm panels achieve Class C, helping to reduce background noise and control reverberation. This creates a more comfortable environment for building users, particularly in busy shared spaces. Alongside its acoustic benefits, the smooth monolithic finish helps maintain the modern look and feel of the interior design. Its combination of performance, appearance and versatility made it the ideal choice for this area of the project.
