Project Description
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were approached by Parkeray Interiors to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at UCL Torrington Place, London. This cutting-edge project aims to transform the location into a state-of-the-art training centre.
Once completed, the training centre will feature 11 training rooms, each with the capacity to accommodate up to 120 individuals. The rooms will be equipped with advanced visual and touch-screen technology to assist lecturers in delivering engaging and dynamic lessons.
The Solution
After a series of detailed discussions between Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics and Parkeray Interiors, the decision was made to supply and install 906m² of Eco Grey Bo-Spray for the acoustic ceiling solution at UCL Torrington Place.
Bo-Spray is a high-performance, water-based acoustical spray made from recycled cellulose. This material offers an ideal solution for environments like UCL Torrington Place, where noise control is crucial for both functionality and comfort.
Bo-Spray is available in a range of colours, providing flexibility in design to suit the aesthetic requirements of the space. Not only does it help reduce echo and control white noise, but it also delivers a visually appealing finish. This ensures that the training rooms at UCL Torrington Place will offer a comfortable and acoustically optimized environment for large groups of people without compromising the design integrity of the space.
