The Project
Sloane Curtis Interiors asked Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics to tender for the installation of a specialist acoustic ceiling at Chimes shopping centre. The shopping centre located in West London is home to 71 different businesses, many of which are shops and restaurants. However, the centre also boasts a large cinema complex.
Throughout the year, the Chimes shopping centre also hosts a wide range of different workshops for the local community to get involved in.

- Procurement Method: Tender
- Location: Uxbridge, London
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics installed 545m² of Fade Duo Acoustic Plaster with a black pigment to the newly built Hollywood Bowl in the shopping centre.
Fade Duo was installed due to its superior acoustic performance, offering high levels of noise absorption, particularly in environments with large groups of people, such as busy shopping centres. Its ability to absorb unwanted white noise made it the perfect choice for the diverse range of activities at the centre, including the cinema and community events. Additionally, Fade Duo’s elegant design ensured that the visual aesthetic of the Hollywood Bowl could be preserved, aligning with the client’s requirement for a modern, stylish environment without compromising on acoustic quality.
The team at Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics enjoyed our time on-site and look forward to continuing our partnership with Sloane Curtis Interiors on future projects.
