The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics were delighted to have agreed specialist Rockfon Acoustic Ceiling works for the phase 2 element of works for Guildford Baptist Church.
In February 2011 Guildford Baptist Church Members voted to proceed with a phased redevelopment of the Millmead Centre, which was constructed in 1972, more than 40 years ago. Phase one is now complete, with the replacement of the roof to the main Auditorium.
In February 2012, members voted overwhelmingly to proceed with Phase Two of the Project, which is a more thorough redevelopment of the site.
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics began work on the first phase in March 2014 to the meeting room ceiling area, following the successful installation of this area we were invited back to install the same Rockfon product within the chapel area. This ceiling was difficult to install due to the curved and sloping transitions together with inset lighting positions, our site team worked closely with various other trades mainly the M & E contractors to deliver this unique looking ceiling. Once again the client was delighted with aesthetics’ and the significant acoustic improvements achieved in both new areas.
