The Project
Pacy and Wheatley were honored to carry out the next phase of the ceiling works as an ongoing redevelopment of the Guildford Baptist Church, namely the Millmead Centre, which was constructed in 1972. This phase included a specialist Rockfon acoustic plaster system for the meeting rooms in the Church.
With being the meeting rooms reverberation needs to be controlled to allow good communication and clarity of the speech.
The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics installed the Rockfon Mono product to the areas and completed this to a high standard but mainly provided a solution to the ambience and reverberation control to the new areas, the project is due to complete over the coming months.
Whilst carrying out the works we managed to look within the chapel previously carried out and this has now had coloured glass feature placed outside above the roof light which is casting a coloured murel onto the previously treated walls.
The chapel with the coloured light effect through the roof light creates an impressive display of coloured light throughout the room.
