Rockfon Mono Acoustic Plaster, London
The Project
Pacy & Wheatley have completed a Rockfon Mono Acoustic Plaster for the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London. The society is situated in close proximity to Holborn and sits across from the largest public square in London, which gets its name from the historic Lincoln’s Inn building.
The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn is an association of barristers, judges and students and has been recognised for over 600 years. As one of four Inns of Court, the society is dedicated to the training, development and qualification of the members within their legal careers at all levels and stages.
The fantastic architecture is a sight to behold across the different buildings. However, Graham Construction is undertaking a large remodelling and extension project at the London facility.
The Solution
We were approached to provide a solution to reduce reverberation within the building, including the lecture theatres and library areas. In busy areas, it’s crucial to reduce echo and excess noise to provide a calm and quiet atmosphere for students to properly focus.
Rockfon Mono Acoustic Plaster provides Class A sound absorption, reducing reverberation and noise levels to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone in the building. The product is completely recyclable and has a bright white finish that achieves an L Value of 94.5 (1 black and 100 white). It is alpha weighted of 1.00 and NRC of 0.95.
We were proud to install the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Plaster to the highest standard within this now acoustically-friendly building!
