The Project
As Part of phase 2 of the Rockfon Mono Acoustic Plaster System> for Promega Uk, Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were appointed for works on a new head office and logistics facility at the Southampton Science park. The brief from and the culture from Promega was to create a place that prioritises Physical and emotional well being in the workplace. The new exiting facility 16,000sq ft Promega UK HQ on the Benham Campus of the University of Southampton Science Park. Promega is a global leader in providing innovative solutions and technical support to life scientists. Designed by Architecture PLB, the new UK HQ will include a modern training room and applications laboratory, flexible social and training spaces, a conference facility, high quality offices and a gym and wellness centre.
The 2nd Phase of the project some included the large upstairs office areas including Boardroom private offices and circulation areas amounting to circa 600m2 where the open office areas where no problem with regard to unwanted noise.

The Solution
Pacy & Wheatley were appointed by Amiri Construction to supply and install the seamless Rockfon mono acoustic ceiling to the areas which where sloping and alternating pitches with the complex Gluelam structure sloping ceiling with shadow detail to all the perimeter of each bay was certainly testing.
Again Class A product Rockfon Mono acoustic was installed creating masses of absorption to the open areas and private offices to control reverberation and unwanted echo. A fantastic job completed on time and to budget looks great
