The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics install a Specialist Acoustic Plaster system in Edinburgh. The new school Gym hall extension to Liberton High school required an acoustic solution to manage the acoustic sound and reverberation issues to the 280m2 space.
Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Kent officially opened the school by on Thursday 14th May 1959. The school also has a special commemorative Stained Glass window created by William Gibson, known as the father of glass painting.
The Solution
Pacy and Wheatley were asked to Install an a specified acoustic ceiling to the high level area to ensure the reverberation was reduced to a good level to ensure the classes and activities could be carried out in an acoustically healthy environment for all users.
The project had speakers and lights that required suspension from the system, as well as integrated ventilation grills and the like.
