The Project
Pacy and Wheatley Acoustics installed a Specialist Acoustic Plaster System in coordination of a refurbishment to the Panmure House in Edinburgh. The project is a Fantastic Restoration of the historic Panmure House. Panmure House was the home of Adam Smith, born 1723, and writer of most renowned 4 editions of “The wealth of Nations” between 1778 and 1789 and died with the house in 1790.
The property was purchased by the Edinburgh Business School, who have commissioned the works to restore Panmure house into a learning centre and provide students, the local community and local businesses with fantastic resources.
The Solution
Acoustic ceiling products were installed by Pacy and Wheatley to the Reading Room, Lecture Room and the Lobby Reception areas. The acoustic installations were installed to control the spaces and the airborne noise, reverberation, and create a relaxed atmosphere in Panmure House.
