Specialist Acoustic Plaster System, Knightsbridge

The Project

Pacy & Wheatley have recently completed the installation of a specialist acoustic plaster system for the Pavilion Company located in the heart of Knightsbridge. They are a high profile members club and fine dining restaurant, the company has further locations around central London. The building is located next to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, another location that Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics has worked on.

Pacy & Wheatley Acoustics were invited to meet and discuss the project at 64 Knightsbridge where they were undergoing a high specification refurbishment.

The building required fine details and wanted to ensure that the design for the areas in the basement and first floor achieved acoustic comfort and integrated acoustic absorption in order to remove any unwanted reverberation to ensure comfort.

The Solution

Pacy & Wheatley were appointed as a contractor to install the proposed seamless Class A Rockfon Mono Acoustic system with elegant smooth render to their ceilings which created the ambience they required. There were ceiling details and interfaces with ceiling mouldings applied to the ceiling which required a solution as these were painted following the sprayed render solution to create the seamless finish.

The system was installed successfully and controls the reverberation well. The system works by absorbing sound and white noise in order to create a relaxing and comfortable space. The project was successful and achieved in a timely manner with great results.
